The view of lush greenery and the flow of the water in Tokyo city that you could see from BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel was formed by people through hundreds of years. Trees donated from all over Japan made up the forest in Meiji Shrine where peace and tranquility are kept. Our blend is an exclusive combination of sandalwood, Kuromoji and pine that has calming aroma inspired by the moment like taking a deep breath in this sacred forest.
Japanese has inherited from their ancestors the Mottainai spirit of using resources carefully and reusing of waste products as a respect to nature. Mottainai spirit is what Japanese does on a daily basis, and this is just a simple way to represent SDGs. Our bath amenities in BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel are infused with felled Kuromoji that Japanese fragrant wood, and organically grown green tea leaf that would be wasted. Bottles of amenities are made from Bio-PET and collected at hotel after used for “Bottle to Bottle Project” which aims to establish a resource recycling system by producing recycled bottles through closed loop recycling.
Organic JAS certified green tea leaves from Kyushu region
Green tea leaves that have been thrown away without being distributed as tea leaves for beverages; tea leaves that are pruned between the first and second tea, and tea leaves that are pruned after the harvest of the second tea. These products utilize this green tea leaf as a raw material. "Green tea leaf water" extracted from Aso spring water, which has been selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan, is a valuable raw material that has acquired international organic certification and Ecocert COSMOS certification. These are organic amenities that luxuriously incorporates this "green tea leaf water" as a raw material.
Wild kuromoji essential oil from Toyama Prefecture
Kuromoji, which grows in the harsh cold, is unique to Japan. As a raw material, we use kuromoji, which is a thinning timber generated during the thinning process of thinning trees that grow densely in the forest growth process. The essential oil, which is distilled and refined from Kuromoji, has a deep and sophisticated scent that makes you want to take a deep breath.
